We haven't had a photo story in a while, so here are some recently found pictures from the early 1970's. Some are of our 1971 American LaFrance fire engine being delivered in a rail car and off-loaded at the rail spur in Dover between West Loockerman Street and West Division Street. This was the first engine in Cheswold to be painted white. The other pictures are of our 1974 Dodge/Swab ambulance. This unit would serve Cheswold longer than any ambulance we ever owned. It was finally retired in 2000.
