Just after noon on Thursday, Cheswold was alerted to assist Hartly (station 51) on a house fire.  Hartly arrived to find smoke showing from a small single story home.  Cheswold arrived shortly thereafter and assisted with extinguishment and overhaul.  Hartly was also assisted by Marydel and Clayton.  Smyrna covered Cheswold's station while we had two engines committed tot he fire.

Later that evening Cheswold was alerted as part of the Kent County Special Operations Team to assist Smyrna with a tow truck overturned down an embankment with people trapped inside.  Once on scene we used heavy struts to help stabilize the vehicle so that Smyrna could complete the extrication.  Leipsic and Hartly make up the other companies that provide apparatus to the special operations team and they responded as well as several members in their individual vehicles.
