Around 5:30 am, Cheswold was alerted for an accident with possible entrapment in the parking lot of the old Wawa at Main Street and North Dupont Highway. Units arrived to find a single vehicle overturned in the parking lot and a broken electric pole. The patient was removed and transported by ambulance. Fire Police and Deldot were requested to control the intersection because the traffic signal had no power. Delmarva Power was notified of the damaged pole and electrical outage.
While on the scene of the accident, a second emergency came in for a CO alarm activation in the Delshire neighborhood. Engine 43-3 was cleared from the accident to respond to that incident.
