Controlled burning becomes uncontrolled - Rosedale Lane

Cheswold and Hartly were alerted for a possible building fire on Rosedale Lane on Wednesday evening. Engine 43-2 arrived under the command of Chief Roy to find a controlled burning that had spread to an old outbuilding. DNREC was notified and the fire was extinguished with the help of the property owner. Units responding: 43-2, 43-3, 43-4, 43-6, 51-7, & Tanker 51. Delaware State Fire Marshalls and the Department of Natural Resources were also on scene. Chief Roy had command then transferred it to Past Chief Dempsey so that he and other officers could attend an important meeting.
