Field and Straw Fire - Badgers Lair DriveThursday, July 2, 2015
On Thursday Feb. 12 at 1352 hours,Cheswold Fire Company responded to a field fire on Badgers Lair Drive. Upon arrival, 430 with Assist. Chief Whitby arrived to find a large area of field and a large stack of straw on fire. The fire in the field was extinguished by Brush units from Cheswold, Leipsic, Claydon, and Dover. 2 Engines from 43 and Tanker 53 supplied the Brush units. DELDOT and the Forestry Department assisted in extinguishment of straw stack.
