The Dover Fire Department (46) was dispatched to a townhouse fire in the Bay Tree development on Saturday morning. With calls coming in indicating a working alarm, Dover contacted Kent County 911 to alert an ambulance, a medic unit, the Little Creek Fire Company (54) for a RIT assignment, and an engine from Cheswold (43). Deputy Chief Carey (46-16)arrived to find an end-unit with fire showing from the second floor and ordered his units to begin fire attack. Engine 43-2 responded with 6 firefighters and arrived on scene to assist with fire suppression and overhaul. Units responding: Dover-Engines 2, 4, & 6, Ladder 2, Rescue 1, & Car 2.
