Cheswolds Annual Appreciation DInner - James Roy Sr. Memorial HallThursday, July 2, 2015
Cheswold Fire Company held it's annual Christmas Party for the membership. Awards were given out for the past year to the top responders. Fred Bush was the top fire responder and Chris Whitby was the top ambulance responder. Past Chief Charlie Brown was awarded "President Emeritus" status based on 30 years of active service, with at least 15 of those years as an officer. Charlie joins a small group of members that have been active to this extent.
The Ladies Auxiliary reported on the busy year they have had and gave the fire company money to purchase a new sign. Then, several ladies performed a skit that lampooned the firemen that was originally performed at a banquet in the 1970's.
The Ladies Auxiliary of the Clayton Fire Company served the dinner and the Little Creek Fire Company covered the emergency calls for the night.
