Around 4 pm, Cheswold was alerted to assist Clayton on an outbuilding on fire on Blackiston Road near Underwoods Corner. Clayton's Chief Carrow arrived to find a small shed fully involved in fire that had spread to a larger building. Engine 43-2 arrived shortly after Clayton's engine and provided water and manpower. Rescue 43 and Brush 43-0 arrived a few minutes later. Brush 43-0 was redirected to a field fire on the north end of Clayton's district. All units cleared from these alarms and as they were getting back to Cheswold, they were alerted to a serious motorcyle accident on Central Church Road. The lone patient was transported and the scene was turned over to Delaware State Police. Assistant Chief Josh Dempsey was in command of Cheswold units for these calls.
