Long Distance Cover Up - Delaware CityThursday, July 2, 2015
Early Thursday morning, Cheswold was alerted to cover Delaware City fire station while they assisted the Christiana Fire Company with a large apartment building on fire. Engine 43-3 responded with 5 volunteers and covered for about 3 hours until one of Delaware City's engines returned. This was the longest response that Cheswold has made to cover a Delaware fire station in recent memory. About every year or so, we travel long distances to assist fire companies on the Eastern Shore in Maryland.
