At 430 am, Cheswold Fire Company, Kent County Paremedics, and the State Police helicopter were dispatched for an accident with entrapment on Brenford Road near Mt. Friendship Road. Fire Chief Jeff Brown arrived and confirmed a car into a tree with one subject heavily entrapped inside. Rescue 43 and A-43 arrived and began extrication and patient care. The subject was removed after extensive work and transported by ambulance to a landing zone nearby. The patient was flown to Christiana Hospital. Units on scene: Command 43, Rescue 43, Engine 43-4, Ambulance A-43, Medics KM6 and KM5, and DSP Trooper 4 helicopter and road units. Fire Chief Jeff Brown had the command.
