Cheswold was alerted to an accident with entrapment at the intersection of Mount Friendship Road and Bryn Zion Road northwest of town.  Ambulance A-43 arrived and confirmed the entrapment.  Kent County Medic KM6 arrived and assisted A-43 with patient assessment as Deputy Chief Dempsey arrived and took command.  The crews of Rescue 43 and 43-3 removed the drivers door of one vehicle with hydraulic rescue tools to enable the removal of the patient.  An ambulance from Smyrna American Legion was requested for a second patient.  Once all patients were clear, the scene was declared under control and all fire apparatus cleared.
