Cheswold was alerted early this morning for a house fire with subjects reported trapped.  Command 43 arrived and found a single story home well involved in fire.  Police units on scene reported that all of the occupants were out of the house.  Dover Engine 6 arrived first and stretched a hose to the rear of the home.  Cheswold Engine 43-3 arrived next and reverse laid a 5" supply line to a hydrant south of the fire and the crew took a hose to the front door.  Eventually 4 hose lines were placed in service.  Two of the occupants were transported to appropriate medical facilities.  One for serious respiratory burns and one for minor cuts and lacerations.  One Leipsic firefighter was transported for minor burns.  Units were called back later for a small fire that remained in the space between the original roof and a newer roof that had been added.

Units on scene: Command 43, Engine 43-3, Engine 43-2, Tower 43, Ambulance A-43, Dover Engine 6 & Ladder 2, Leipsic Squad 53, Rescue 53, & Tanker 53, Hartly Engine 51-2, Rescue 51-6, & 51-10, Kent County EMS, Ambulance 41, and Ambulance 63.  There were also multiple Delaware State Police and Dover Police units that responded due to the report of subjects trapped.  They provided assistance to the victims that escaped and provided traffic control.  DelDot also responded for traffic control.
