Church Burns in Early Morning FireFriday, January 11, 2019
Around 0100 hrs this morning, Cheswold Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to a building fire in 5000 block of West Denneys Rd. Dover, Leipsic, and Medics were added right after dispatch for the call. 433 arrived to find a 1 story church with fire showing from several windows. Shortly after units arrived and were extinguishing the fire, the B side wall collapsed. All firefighters were quickly accounted for after the mayday was called. 3 firefighters were transported to a local hospital and were treated and released with minor injuries. Units cleared around 0400 hrs.
