Cheswold was dispatched for a reported house fire at 173 Dinah's Corner Road. Engine 43-2 responded under the command of Chief James Roy and was advised by the 911 center that there was smoke in the residence. They later upgraded that to fire in the house and also advised that the Hartly Fire Company (station 51) was clearing up from an accident nearby and had units available to assist. Chief Roy arrived to find smoke showing from a 2-story farmhouse and told the 911 center to send Hartly's units. Engine 43-4 arrived next and laid a 5" supply line up the lane that was picked up by Hartly's tanker. The fire was quickly knocked down and an extensive overhaul was done to ensure the fire was extinguished. Units responding: Engines 43-2, 43-4, 43-3, 51-3, Rescues 43-6, 51-6, Tanker 51, and ambulance A-43. Station 43 was covered by station 53 (Leipsic)
