Cheswold was alerted for a serious Motor Vehicle Collision (MVC) along with Medic 66(2), Medic 65 (supervisor), and Trooper 4 (DSP helicoptor). Ambulance A-43 and Engine 43-2 arrived to find a single vehicle into the woods with one subject trapped inside. A-43's crew and the medics began to treat the patient while the crew of 43-2 split with two FF's stabilizing the vehicle and pulling the handline while the other two set up the jaws of life. The patient was extricated shortly after the arrival of Rescue 43-6 and transferred to the DSP helicoptor. He was then flown to Christiana Hospital.
