House & 2 Cars - Carlisle Village

Thursday, July 2, 2015
Cheswold was alerted for a house fire at 0230 hours in the unit block of Tammie Drive in Carlisle Village. Engine 43-2 went responding with Past Chief Dempsey in command. While enroute, engine 2 was advised that another caller had reported a car on fire next to the house. Engine 2 arrived to find a single-story house on fire as well as an SUV. Engine 2 deployed two handlines and began to attack the vehicle and the house. Dispatch advised that they now had a call for another vehicle fire down the street. Command looked and confirmed the 2nd fire and requested 2 engines from Dover and Leipsic as well as a cover company. Engine 43-4 arrived and laid a 5" supply line to the hydrant down the street which just happened to be across the street from the 2nd vehicle fire. Past Chief Brown attacked that fire while Chief Roy connected to the hydrant. Chief Roy then assumed command. The fire was controlled with the help of Dover and Leipsic. Units responding: Engines 43-2, 43-4, 43-3, 46-3, 46-6, 53-2, and 53-6. Ambulance B-43 and medic KM 6.
