New Rescue in Service - CheswoldThursday, July 2, 2015
The new Rescue 43 went into service Wednesday afternoon. It is a 2009 Pierce Impel with a 1500 gallon per minute pump and a 750 gallon tank. It is equipped with Hurst hydraulic rescue tools, lifting bags, Rescue Jacks, and various other tools for firefighting and rescue work. It has a 20 kw generator and a light tower. It replaces a 1984 American LaFrance rescue truck that was recently sold to a company in Illinois.
