Condolences - Reisterstown, MDThursday, July 2, 2015
Cheswold Fire Company offers our condolences to the Reisterstown Volunteer Fire Company in Baltimore County, MD. Firefighter Gene Kirchner was critically injured on April 24 while searching a burning home for a trapped civilian. That civilian perished in the blaze. Firefighter Kirchner died of his injuries today.
Cheswold has hosted a trench rescue class here at our station for the last two years that has been taught by Fire Chief Bob Murray of Reisterstown. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Kirchner family as well as Chief Murray and the Reisterstown Fire Company.
