Assist on Barn/Residential Fire - HartlyThursday, July 2, 2015
The Cheswold Fire Company was alerted to cover the Hartly fire station while they were fighting a fire in a large barn that also served as a residence. Engine 43-4 responded with a crew that was in the station. About 20 minutes later, Cheswold was requested to send Rescue 43 to the scene. While the Rescue was enroute, 43-4 was pulled from station 51 to the scene as well. Both units arrived and assisted with extinguishment and overhaul operations on the building.
