Accident With EntrapmentThursday, July 2, 2015
Around 2130 hours, Cheswold Fire Company and Kent County ALS were dispatched to an accident with entrapment on North Dupont Highway in front of Redners. Assistant Chief Ceruti arrived just behind the ambulance to find a two-vehicle crash with one person trapped inside. He established command and ordered Rescue 43 to begin extrication. The crews from Rescue 43 & Engine 43-4 removed the roof of the vehicle while the ambulance crew provided patient care. The patient was then transported to the appropriate medical facility. Units on scene: Ambulance B-43, Rescue 43, Engine 43-4, Command 43, KM-6, and DSP.
