Trailer FireThursday, July 2, 2015
During the Mother's Day Brunch fundraiser, Cheswold was alerted to a trailer fire in Pinewood Acres Mobile Home Park. Leipsic was also alerted due to the multiple reports confirming a fire. Fire Chief Dempsey arrived to find smoke showing from a single-wide trailer. Engine 43-2 stretched a line inside and finished extinguishing a couch fire. A neighbor had knocked much of the fire down with a garden hose prior to the arrival of fire apparatus. Units on scene: Engines 43-2, 43-3, 43-4, Rescue 43, Ambulance 43, Command 43, and Delaware State Fire Marshal FM-14. Assistant Chief Cerutti had command.
